IREF Series for Refrigerant Gas Detection
What are the primary advantages of IREF NDIR sensors? Unlike semiconductor (MOS) sensors, NDIR technology is intrinsically selective and immune to “poisoning.” The IREF series offers very long calibration span and an MTBF of over 5 years, significantly lowering the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).
How do the PRO and LITE versions differ in application? The IREF PRO is designed for maximum performance and comprehensive Gas ranges. The IREF LITE is a cost-effective alternative for A2L refrigerants, offering a smaller footprint and user-programmable threshold outputs while maintaining SIL2 requirements.
What performance tiers are available?
- GP (Gold Performance): Improved performance and detection range.
- BB (Broad Band): Large selection of cross-sensitivities on a single sensor.
- LC (Low Cost): Best performance/cost ratio for the IREF LITE line.
What is the environmental operating range? All IREF sensors are rated for an extended temperature range of -40 to +60 °C, suitable for the most demanding industrial environments.
REMORA MODULES: The Compact, Ready-to-Use Module
Showcased at our booth, the REMORA MODULES is a complete, ready to use and cost-effective sensor module which makes refrigerant leak detection easy, affordable and effective in any application – from direct integration in HVAC/R equipment such as chillers, rooftop units or heat pumps.
Which Gases can the REMORA MODULES detect? It covers a comprehensive range of refrigerants, including R-290, R-1234yf, R-1234ze, R-32, R-454a/b/c, and R-455a.
How does it handle communication and alarms? The module features local relays for threshold and fault alarms, alongside a standard MODBUS protocol on RS-485 for easy integration with Building Management Systems (BMS).
What is the expected lifespan and durability? REMORA MODULES is built for longevity with an expected lifetime of 15+ years. Its housing is a glass-reinforced, flame-retardant IP54 Polyamide enclosure, complete with an oleophobic filter and oil spray cover to withstand rigors in the field.
Does it require frequent manual checks? No. The module performs constant self-check and self-calibration routines, ensuring best-in-class reliability based on N.E.T. field-proven technology.
